Agreement

By using Winny (getwinny.com), you agree to these terms. Winny is operated by Smarthi LLC. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What Winny is

Winny is a career memory and resume building tool, delivered as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. It stores your career data, helps you benchmark your experience against job descriptions, and generates tailored resumes.

Winny does not provide the AI. You connect it to an AI client you already use — such as Claude — and that client does the language work. Your conversations happen with that provider, under their terms, not mine. Winny only receives the tool calls your AI client chooses to make.

Your data, your responsibility

You own your career data. You decide what to upload, what to keep, and what to delete. Winny stores it for you but does not verify its accuracy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your resumes.

AI-generated content (summaries, bullet rewrites, resume drafts) should be reviewed before use. Neither Winny nor the AI client you connect guarantees that generated content is factually correct, free of bias, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Accounts

You sign in with Google. One account per Google identity. You're responsible for maintaining access to your Google account. If you lose access to your Google account, I cannot recover your Winny data independently.

Cost and payment

  • Trial: 30 days from your first use of Winny. Everything works during the trial. No card required, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends.
  • Unlock: A single payment of $9.99 USD, processed by Stripe, which permanently unlocks resume generation on your account. It is not a subscription. It does not renew. There is nothing to cancel.
  • Always free: Adding and reading your own career data stays free forever, trial or not. When the trial ends without payment, resume generation stops; the rest of Winny keeps working.
  • Rate limit: Resume generation is capped at 20 per month per account, paid or not.
  • Refunds: Email me within 30 days of purchase and I'll refund you, no questions asked.
  • Price changes: If the price changes, accounts unlocked before the change keep their access. You will never be charged a second time for the same account.

You bring your own AI client, so whatever that provider charges you for the model is between you and them. Winny never bills for usage.

Acceptable use

Don't use Winny to:

  • Generate fraudulent resumes with fabricated credentials
  • Abuse the API (automated scripting, excessive requests)
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Reverse-engineer or resell the service

I reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Service availability

Winny is provided "as is." I do my best to keep it running, but I can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service depends on third-party providers (Cloudflare, Google, Stripe, and whichever AI client you connect) that may experience outages outside my control.

I may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If the entire service shuts down, I will provide data export access for at least 30 days.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smarthi LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Winny. This includes but is not limited to: missed job opportunities, inaccurate resume content, data loss, or service interruptions.

Total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer of warranties

Winny is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. AI-generated content is not professional career advice.

Dispute resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith discussion first. If that doesn't work, disputes are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri and resolved in the courts of Jackson County, Missouri.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email where I have an address for you.
